A free-week business class geared towards local small business owners will kick off in May. The class, “Learn How to Not Make Mistakes in Small Business,” will start May 6 and run through July 29, meeting each Wednesday.
“This is an intensive 13-week course that no small business can afford to miss,” said Marc Limas, interim Tulare Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive office. “Our goal is to help small businesses [to] have continued success.
Class topics include: Planning, legal structure, market research, marketing, financial planning, accounting, deal making and getting loans. Each class will begin with a presentation from a local business professional with expertise in the night’s topic.Funded with money from a SBDC grant, the class is free and open to small businesses with at least two employees.For more information, call 686-1547.
