The Easter holiday had one local restaurant opening its doors to the homeless. The Cadillac Club offered a free holiday meal to dozens of people staying at the Volunteers of America shelter. Dean Transportation donated shuttle buses to transport everyone to the restaurant. Not only was the event a treat for the homeless, but it helped out the staff at the shelter too.
Ronda Liskey, Cadillac Club marketing & events: "And the wonderful thing about it is, the people at the VOA homeless shelter, they feed the homeless every day and this gives them and their kitchen staff an opportunity to have the day off."
The Easter dinner included a chicken and a host of side dishes.
